Your goal to get fit with out a plan is just a wish. We will make a plan, dream big and then make it happen.
So, if you are looking to lose weight or just want to be a healthier version of you, you need to have a plan and a goal in mind. We will evaluate where you are starting (everyone has to start somewhere), make short term and long term goals.
Whatever your goal, we will get you where you want to be! Your plan will be tailored to your needs. If you have not exercised in years, have knee, shoulder, etc. issues, those exercises will be modified for you.
Nancy is certified with the National Academy of Sports Medicine as a personal trainer and women and nutrition specialist.
I was the fat kid who was always chosen last for any type of activity in gym class. I would try everything to get out of gym class.
I really didn’t like to exercise and loved to eat. I struggled with my weight and would go up and down. I tried every single diet that came along, low-fat, cabbage soup, Atkins. you name it, I tried it.
My journey into fitness started in my forties. My son got a job at a health club and he wanted to make commission, so he talked me and a friend to sign up. I planned to quit after he got his check.
I couldn’t make it through a class, but I kept staying a bit longer each time. I started to feel stronger and better about my abilities to learn how to exercise and have fun. I made friendships and felt a sense of community.
The instructor didn’t show up one day for Spin class and the class asked if I could lead the class. I was hooked. I started teaching Spin, and then moved to teaching other group exercise formats. I wanted to share my journey with others, so I became a personal trainer.
